been offered a supalite gardiner modular pole largest one for 600quid been used once would this be a good deal??

Yes a very good pole and a good deal.  The only reason not to go for that pole is if you wanted to get a telescopic version.  At those heights the only thing that comes (well on a par) close is the slx extreme.  Wow that is a nice pole.
