Has anyone on here suffered with tennis elbow?
If so what's the best course of action? Im suffering badly at the moment with it.
Looks like a trip to the doctors for me when time allows.
Thanks in advance,
Dean.

Yep, get bouts of it usually after a conservatory roof clean.
-
stop lifting the wine glass
helps greatly ;D ;D

How many more times????? Cod liver oil with glucosamine. Stick with it for 6 weeks and it'll be gone for a long long time. Mine never came back after suffering for years. Don't think about it. Do it. Any supermarket sell it. Leave a donation in the box. Hallelujah ;-)

yep cod liver oil and glucosamine.worked for my knee.you might have to slow up on the pole work for a while though dean.
use the lightest poles if you currently dont.(SLX with extreme brush)

Cheers guys,
I'm currently taking cod liver oil but not glucosamine, ill have to get some tomorrow.
Gav, I've jacked ale :-)

never played tennis so i cant say
-
I've played it once. It wasn't for me.

Ice it as often as you can during the day Dean. Also, get some gel called Voltarol and rub it in three of four times a day.
-
Not tried the cream but Voltarol tablets are brilliant for any pain....

Had tennis elbow a couple of years back, and even after 6 weeks of physio it was not getting better as work was agravating it.
I bought a support from eBay and as soon as it was on I could work without pain and within a couple of weeks the elbow was better. - it works by isolating the forearm muscle, where it's started to tear away from your elbow

suffer with it in both arms, but it only bothers me when my arthritis is not playing up.
go to the doctors there are some tablets they can put you on, it takes the edge off while everything recovers.
if at any point it realy gives greif use ibuprofen gell or cream but dont use to often or you get use to it, deep heat also releves things a bit but same again dont use to often or you get use to it.
get hold of an elbow support brace got mine from poundland only put it on when working dont keep it on!

Everything mentioned here apart from the glucosamine will block the pain. Glucosamine will hopefully cure the pain by replenishing natural lubricants found in your joints. Like I said.....just do it dude. £15 should sort u out. It'll cost alot more to take time out to go to the Dr's.

I sometimes get bouts of it in my right elbow, just wear an elasticated support bandage for a day or two. I only occasionally need to wear the bandage now.
-
ive heard fish oil is better than cod liver oil! what do other recon though?
-
Thanks again,
Biofreeze gel is doing the trick at the moment. Roll on friday :-D
-
I've played it once. It wasn't for me.
That`s unfortunate. You`ve only played once and got it :-\.
-
Hi Dean,
Hope fish oil and glucosimine do the trick,
not suffered with this but remember guys on here said accupunture (spelling ::))
worked wonders.
few sessions and gone for good
-
take strong Glucosamine mate
i was recommend to take it by a fellow windy from the forum it really has helped its helped so much that i forget to take it now oops that reminds me just took one now :)
the one that i think worked best for me was Glucosamine Sulphate 1500 mb 2kcl heath Aid it cost me over £11 but its very powerfull i hardly have any pain now.
that and changed pole to CLX worked a dream

Gav, I've jacked ale :-)
You may find this will help. Long term joint problems can be caused by being dehydrated, and if you're a 'regular drinker' you'll regularly be dehydrated, since alcohol is a diuretic.
When you're dehydrated, the stuff that keeps your joints lubricated isn't as effective as when your well hydrated; so I've read.

Tennis elbow is caused by the grip of your hand
The easiest way to avoid and cure this problem is a larger grip ie tennis players often have the racket treble bound so their hand is not as "gripped"or squeezing
Make the pole you use "wider" by adding tape or some other means to open your grip and the tennis elbow will disappear
