Hi,
I was wondering if the Prochem 5star cleaning stand alone machines are any good? I see one advertised locally for £375. Has anyone had any experience with these machines?

Personal opinion only of course........ bargepole comes to mind

My misses uses that line has well. Can't think why ;D
-
think i asked about the same machine a few weeks ago......the reply was quite clearly NO..

I did read a thread about the machine being compared to a rugdoctor pro. But I did not see any comments from people who have used the machine.

The brush action works the same as a extract scrubba, which works really well!!
For £375 its worth a try, might be good for flats etc.. but no good as an every day machine.
Offer them £275 and see what happens.

I have used a Rug Doctor, pretty pathetic in a word. If the machine you are enquiring about is being compared to a RD, you can bet your bottom dollar it'll be just as good as a RD, which won't cut the mustard.
Save your money!

Suitable for Hotel, Nursing homes etc... (Which says to me it is an occasional machine, and not a machine to assist you in building a successful carpet cleaning business) http://www.cleansmartsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/Prochem_Fivestar.html

Not really what you need for professional use.
Handy as a back up machine tho at that price.
