Title: Ninja pump presure
Post by: homenclean on April 25, 2011, 02:41:49 pm
I wondered if any one could enlighten me,  why i am not getting  full presure (400psi) on my machine when using the wand.

The presure will reach 400 with the hand tool but not the wand.

I have sripped the jets and cleaned the drip valves and it has improved flow but when using wand, presure seems to sit at 350 psi.

Any comments would be appreciated.

There's bound to be a drop in pressure
when you open the trigger.
More so with the wand because bigger
jets and probably 2 of them whereas 1
in hand tool.

I got the Ninja 400, quit normal 300 with floor wand, but should show 400 with valve closed!

Run mine at 450 and it drops to about
390-400 with wand.

Pumptec type pumps only move the water.... not make pressure.
It is the open area of the nozzle/s that create a back pressure.
If your pressure is too low you need to reduce the tip orrifice size
hope this helps

The bigger the nozzle size the bigger the pressure drop.
