A tender letter for a builders clean should always start like this:

My dearest builder, I find your checked shirt very arousing. I long to be in your arms...............

etc etc. That's pretty tender.  8)

Tell them you will only do it if they cover all the windows with plastic sheets before they start working and that you are not responsible for any scratches... which they always try to blame the window cleaner for!!!

This is good advice mate!! take my word for it, builders cleans are more trouble that they are worth!! If your really going to do it make sure you price high and then treble whatever figure you come up with, and keep your fingers crossed that you don't get the job!!!  ;)

Without getting into the debate too deeply builders cleans are trouble. I wouldn't get involved, its a minefield. There are better ways of making a living. This time of year advertise for conservatory cleans. Much better

I did some builders cleans and they were great.  I did the show home; the full works; well priced and I was paid in cash.

I also cleaned this show home on a regular basis; weekly I think it was.

I also cleaned each house as it was sold, so the people moving in, moved into a pristine looking brand new house.  I was paid promptly for each well priced clean.

I did price it well, and the company I did the work for were great.  They even supplied hard hats and high viz vests.
