as soon as you drive away all the doors lock. When you stop and open front doors, they open but the back doors & side door remain locked.
anyway to de-activate this as its very annoying !!

i would leave it alone it sounds like a good idea plus they have done it for a reason perhaps they are seeing a increase in vans being stolen while at trafic lights ect ;)

Google transit forum, there are loads of guys on there, someone will be able to tell you if it is possible to disable the feature, it may even tell you in the owners handbook.
-
We need a scouser (or an Essex lad) to tell us how to "disable" the locks ;) (im a scouser but no good with the modern stuff)
-
pull the fuse, normally stops them working

I should think a Ford dealer would be able to set it how you want it with their computer.
I know they can change running light settings on Volvo and saab cars, so it stands to reason they could probably alter the settings of your door locks.

My sons Merc has the same feature. Don't like the idea myself. In an accident, how could someone open the door to get you out if they needed to?

On the inside door handle mechanism, there's a pressure sensitive thing so that in the case of an accident (or going into a river) the doors unlock automatically. It was a concern I had when I bought mine so I emailed Ford about it.
Also, the back doors/sliding door always being locked. After a while it becomes second nature to unlock it as you take the keys out the ignition unless you're one of those daft people that leaves the keys sitting in the ignition after you've got out.
