Title: VAN BROKEN INTO
Post by: the bfg on April 23, 2011, 12:34:13 am
Had my van broken into last night but only noticed it when I went to get something out of it at luchtime on good friday.

noticed the glove box open and van manual on seat but my sat nav which was on the seat was GONE plus the adaptor in the fAg lighter.

back door was also ajar but thankfully they didn't take anything even though my Omnivac and pure freedom trolley which I only bought off slash off here last week.

anyway it was all my own fault as I had left the dam thing unlocked over night,      lets just say I wont be doing that again ever.

my neighbours couldn't understand why I was so laid back over it and didn't report to the police but as I told them  it wasn't what they took but what they never took and what they never took I am mighty relieved about.

the way I see it is Ive lost my sat nav but kept my business so looking at it that way kept me positive and in no way did I let it spoil my lazy day  although a big fat herbal fAg did play a part  ;D

i had a laddermat stolen from my van recently, only noticed when i came to a job and it wasnt in the van

last week i see a laddermat on the front passenger seat of a car parked less than 20 feet from my home. could be a coincidence    and i have already bought a new one now so  unless i can think of a way to  test his innocence i wont say anything

Sounds like you were lucky to of left it open, at least that stopped them smashing a window to get the sat nav. Leaving it on the seat in view was your error, always hide things away, if they spot something the want, they take! I would of reported it to plod on the off chance they actually picked someone up that night with a bag of swag which included the sat nav

Leave a loaf of brown bread on the seat and a loaf of white bread. See which goes missing  ;D

They didn't break into your van - as per the title - if you left it open!  :P

whether I left it unlocked or not Tosh and van on my drive still means it was broken into or to be politically corrected taken from.

if Mr plod had been passing he would have nicked them for breaking in.

but its not a problem
