They're undercharging; I charge at least £30 for a semi, takes me no more then ten minutes.
Landscapers? Busy fools. ;D
-
And they smell.
-
a j owen from here got them told though ;D
-
I'm going to join their forum and give them some stick!!!! Uneducated are we, unlike highly intelligent gardeners!!!!! ;D
-
yes the guy is so clever he spent 10k and 3 1/2 years on his degree only to be more poorly paid than some
uneducated 'dodgy' guy with a ladder - so who's the bigger fool ?
this thread does show what other sectors and services think of us w/c's and of course what we think of them,
the comment ' any idiot can push a mower ' did come to mind as i read the thread and many gardiners i know of only do just that - if you are a proper landscaper then we are talking a whole different ball game.

Guys, if window cleaning were perceived as some sort of high status, high earning job, what do you think would happen?
I even like the misperception that window cleaners are nothing more than burglars in disguise; I hope it makes my customers think that they should stick with the devil they know rather than the one they don't.
I vote we sign up and troll the forum though. ;D
I've just signed up, but I've got to finish cooking dinner before I get started.
-
full marks to a&j owen gardening service ha ha put the mothers straight!!! ;D

I have a customer that is a landscaper/Gardiner, I picked up the job while doing a job whilst she was there doing landscape work, we both arrived for payment at the same time for work done, I got £12 for twenty minutes work and she got £24 for 2 hours work.
I still have both on my books and the Gardiner pays me £20 for around 40 minutes work on a far superior house than the one we were both working on :o so she grafts hard and make her money and so do I, and she knows she is getting a good deal from me, I did extra work for the Gardiner and when completed she had worked out what I would charge to the penny ;) and paid without any problems
-
I Know quite a few gardeners / landscapers and have never had a problem with any of them, i think that this gardening forummust be the same as ours, got some twits on there as well :)
-
Twits? Here on ciu? I don't believe it!
-
Ive met a few, and a couple of t...sers ;D
-
I'm starting to get a little bit of a bite! ;D

Most of them are alright but there are some right idiots on there sometimes. One of them this morning is suggesting that we can clean all windows with a soapy pad and a pole. I've suggested that if he's got leaded windows he might like to pop outside and try it - with the sun on them as well ;D
-
Lol I know what ill be checking throught the evening, proves theres numptys on every kind of forum...
-
I'm starting to get a little bit of a bite! ;D

they can give it but can they take it lads. lets show the flookers.

A landscape uphill gardener is quoted on the bbc site, link to follow, as being particularly partisan.
Anyone up to join an army of wc vs 'gardeners?
I'll be your leader, if you want, and I do this selfishly and unbiased apart from crushing the opposition, ok?

I got in in my head to branch out into gardening a few years back. I have a bad leg that plays me up and I wanted to get off the ladders. I thought it would be a good alternative. I soon gave it up. Its hard work and poorly paid compared to window cleaning. I went WFP instead, the rest as they say is history

I wonder how much those highly educated landscapers/gardeners earned last November, when everywhere covered in white.
Well i was out and earning.
By the way,we shouldn't take this row between forums any further or we might end up hitting each other with spam bots and ddos attacks ;D

Tree Surgeon....... ;D

Member of landscape juice are too busy arguing about being members of a trade association today (or not) so they've forgotten about what a bunch of low class unskilled scum bags us window cleaners are. A row between forums might stop them attacking each other!!! ;D

LOL ;D
