What is the fabric, type of chair, extent of soiling, size of each chair ???
Other factors, how far is the job away from you, access (easy/difficult), hot water available, do they need to be cleaned out of hours ???
Need more info my friend ::)

Offer to do 2 or 3 for free to see if they are happy with your work.
Time yourself and charge per hour accordingly.
That's how I do it and I've never had any snags......

That would be unacceptable and unpracticable to most, especially surgeries. :o
The way you describe how you do it Mr Day it comes accross if you have NO confidence in your work. :-[
You must waste alot of time and money doing it the hard way IMO :'(
-
we did 32 of these chairs over the half term holidays, they took on average 8 mins each which included 2 tea breaks and general chit-chat as we worked

Very nice finish. How did you clean them? What method was used? :)

I bet he goes through their knicker drawers and steals their gnomes as well.... ;D

Thanks, is there a reason you use the liquid f90 as opposed to the powder? Isn't the liquid milder (less buffered)?
-
the liquid can be used at varible dilution rates and is easier to premix in the fresh water tank ( i just pour in the required amount)

Have you ever used the powder Mike, and if so, IYO which product delivers the better result overall?
We use F90 powder BUT on upholstery use UM which is milder and safer IMO,,,, do you alwasy use the liquid on upholstery?
Thanks :) (keep polite or people will tell me off) ::)

Sorry for the lack of info lads, the chairs are in fixed rows of 4,red material (ill prob sound like a numpty hear)
The material is your average hard wearing office chair stuff. Not to dirty just general soiling.
They dont want them looking new just well cleaned if that makes sense.
cheers lads ;)

I cleaned similar recently with a pre-spray of M-Power with Soluboost and acid rinsed with Final Phase. They have now booked me in to do the other 400+....

Material on these can be very thin. Over agitation can pill fabric, also easy to over wet as the cover absorbs very little moisture so it travels to foam filling. I did a restaurant that had similar chairs and used air movers, dry in 2 hrs. Vac, Powerburst, soft tampico brush, 10 min dwell. Clearwater rinse 150 psi.
-
Ben,
I would do it this way.
Quick dry brush over (gets any crap off quicker than vaccing), light mist over (spray first) with whatever your using ( I would use Ultimate Master powder from Alltec, self neutralising ph level good results, mixed with a booster such as Citrus pre-spray or lift off - very small amount), lightly agitate with mit, leave let the chems do the work, and then a fresh water rinse using as low psi as you can, use a terry towel to blot dry fabric, followed by turbo dry.
Easy really, but all depends on what chems your using. Don't hit upholstery fabric hard as a number of problems could arise. And don't over wet.
Good luck! :)

Well said Ben.... I learnt alot from this forum and from my partner prior to the training I had. Although the course was very good and yes I would recommend it, you get taught a certain way, whereas by reading the posts on here, you get offered alternatives. There is alot of knowledge and experience amongst the posters on here, perhaps also alot of egos. Once you've been able to sort out whos who, you'll pick up alot of good tips.
I think this forum is very informative and very humorous at times.....its just a shame not everyone enjoys the banter.
