for them to say leave em this time thanks bye...

pole seems to bend if the window is stiff ;D
-
in 2 years the ones i text have never said dont do them, but it is only the 20 or so that never shut there windows ;D
-
Many a window will open inwards and can not be closed from outside. Clean them as they are and expect big trouble from the owners. These just have to be left till next time.

A superlite is robust enough to 'tap' a window shut. Don't push, just 'tap' it a few times and all but the stiffest window will close. And some windows are fine to clean while they're open.

as Tosh said. It amazes me how many people leave open windows.Even ones above flat roofs. Had one the other day where I knocked the back door handle as I was cleaning the door and the back door was unlocked. No sense some people

Get in.Make a cup of tea.Search the kitchen for biscuits ;D
-
To make a point I like to poke the brush through the window, and aim the jets of water to initial my name on the wall !
-
tap them shut or just clean them while they are open. Once you have been doing it a while you can be very accurate with your brush head. If they are sashes and you dont want to leave it then get the ladder off climb up and shut them (ive only actually done this once!)

I just clean but do glass only if there's a risk of squirting water into the house. You can usually push them shut with the pole anyway. Sashes may have to be closed manually. Apart from that, it can be tricky if you have an open window below a pane and it won't push closed. Generally, I just use a tiny dribble of water on the higher pane and wash glass only below it.
