What happens with first time customers, if they're over 60, you need to guarantee that you will butter their bottoms.

You have to get wedges of lard and slather it all over their fat pasty 4rses and smack it good and proper until it goes all red.

Then wash off with pure water.

HTH.

Yeh, I always charge well for buttering, but since I went van-mounted-SLX, I prefer cleaning windows with a lightweight pole since it's a lot less physically demanding than buttering.

It's well paid, but physically demanding.

I am glad I did not reply to her that it's included in the price already. So now I have to put up a price a little

And that makes more sense?

Yeah it does... I've had a few oldies ask me over the years if I "buffer" the windows with a cloth instead of leaving them wet!

Perhaps she means her morning toast?

Maybe she had one of those window cleaners who offer a full service? Just try to ignore the wrinkles and pretend it's Katie Price with a gag on and wearing a paper bag over her head while you're on the job.

Viktor - I'm guessing English isn't your first language and that you do a good Draklier accent ...

If you look at a computer keyboard you will see that "B" isn't far from "G" and that a slip of a finger might hit a B instead of a G.

Therefore she probably wants a price for guttering - now you need to find out if she wants it cleaned, cleared out, repaired or replaced.

Zat is vot I zink anyvay!  ;D

Viktor, don`t offer buttering as a service. We`ve all got to earn a crust but don`t spread yourself too thin, mate. Use your loaf and stick to cleaning windows.
If she continues to Stork you for buttering, and this may sound harsh and I don`t like hitting women but just Flora.

I would advise you to take a look at the job first mate.
If she is an ol'girl her crumpet could well be a bit dry and rough around the edges so you might have to butter it up more than usual.
Make sure your price reflects this!
But if you're up for it crack on.  :-X

I used to do buttering, but it wasn't financially viable. The customers wanted jam on it as well.

Hi Steve,

Yeah I did :)

I was going to use Pure something or other, but there are so many Pure this and thats around.

"Iconic Window Cleaning" is unique at the moment... Similar to Ionic the supplier, but no customers are going to be dealing with them!

apparently it is Guttering :) (thanks God) :)

I have not done that before, I know how technicly it's done. I will be fine with that.
Just need advice how to price it. I will have to check whats to be done, but have no idea of how to price the job.
