I bought some motors of Italian manufacture last year, total waste of money.
Lamb motors for me from now on.

Just replaced on of the original ones in
mine after it burned out after 22 months.
The other one's on it's 3rd over the same
period.
Original lasted just 12 months the 2nd
lasted 8 months and there's no
water getting in, and there lamb motors.
What's going on? 8 months is not very
long even running 5 days a week which
I'm not.

John, could there be water getting into them, does the stack pipe run through the waste tank. I had a problem with an Exel once because of this very reason, there was a leak where the stack pipe joined the bottom of the waste tank....

Another problem I see when taking out old damaged motors it fluff that has lodged in the fans. Are your filters cleaned after every job...?

Colin

Spoke to the engineer who said it's
not water or fluff it's just that they
don't make them to last.
Clean filter every day although half
the time they don't need it.
