Title: £150 FOR A NEW VAN !
Post by: P @ F on April 19, 2011, 08:18:01 pm: Well being as lots of others have just got new vans i decided i should treat myself , i looked about and nothing really grabbed me , then i thought why spend the money when the one you have has only done 120k and not cost me a penny in the 6 years i've had her .
So i thought i would get her a new coat to show her i still love her !

Prepped her on saturday , gave her the new coat on sunday , rebuilt her on monday .

Post by: JSMC on April 19, 2011, 08:39:38 pm: 150 quid plus 30 pound insurance amdin fees to chang ecolour of vehicle on ye rdocuments and also more cash to change the colour of vehicle on v5. Yer insurance could be null n void if you dont update colour with them mate. Insurers use stuff like this to get out of any claims so beware.

In my eyes if they want a quality wc the colour of van should not matter , after all the likes of m&s and such like have a policy of no discrimination to staff , surely that includes the limp wristed window cleaners ;D

Bobby P , i used cellulose , was gonna go synthetic but then i thought , ok i t would be a better finish , but i couldnt do a flat polish for at least 2 weeks , and that stuff would have annoyed my neighbours a bit !

Its come up spankin , could do with a t'cut in a few days to remove the compound marks , but i dont want to rush it and ruin it , its given loads of drivers whiplash already , and thats the effect i was looking for !

There is another ajoined plan in the pipe but lets see ;)

I cant wait to see it driving around Plymouth ;D 8)
