Title: Sorry missed you last time...
Post by: LWC on April 19, 2011, 06:40:43 pm
...so it will be for a couple of cleans after today

"ok well ill pay for last month but leave it this time"

...If i had a pound for everytime i heard that! Its not double today, its just what you owe from last month! You cant help but think if theyd of been in or youd caught them last month they would of had them done today?

I had one years ago that was NEVER there, tried collecting several times, caught up with him for 3 cleans and he cancelled saying it was getting expensive with me not collecting the money and then its 3 times the amount which is a lot of money (£8 house by way).  ::)

some people just dont understand money

its ok to pay £8 for a clean but its not ok to pay £96 for 12 cleans in the year which he will be paying for anyway

you want to try fortnightly work, you see tham that often they haven't a clue how much they owe and often aren't happy when you tell them ;D one of the reasons I got rid of most of my fortnightly work

i find fortnightly ok they never moan about you being back already like monthly do

yes the old dears that are always in are fine and the like but the working family's that you never get in are best switched to monthly, just the way I have found it, each to there own and whatever works best I suppose

i had one like that always ended up paying for 4 cleans as could not get them in, last week i thought about dumping them as fed up with chasing them, well i got thre and before i could tell her i cant keep coming she gave me a cheque for 6 months in advance and said when its time to pay again she will do the same again bless her, funny thing is she is a single mum off 3 in a council house, lesson dont pre judge she cant be that skint like i thought was the problem for not paying

It really makes me smile this 'fortnightly cleaning' malarky.  Don't these customers get sick of you?

I'd increase the price and put them on monthly.

I don't charge any less for fortnightly anyway, some folk are just stuck in there ways, saying that I don't do many now but some have been done fortnightly non stop for coming on 4 years now, the ones I have kept are local and pay on the day, if I have to chase money the get put on a monthly cycle.

i have a round with about £180 fortnightly work, just put all the prices up and only 2 went monthly,  some people just like it done regular, and theones i have always pay, weeded out the ones who dont, they are £5-6, little council houses, 2 windows front 4 back, and i have one after another, monthly s are 6-7 and more, so its a good little earner

But some do owe alot quick if you only collect once like i do

But they all pay up as like i say i have weeded out bad payers its the very first work i had so i know nearly everyone on there....
