Title: What else do you do?
Post by: s.hughes on April 15, 2011, 08:23:53 pm
Other than w/c what other side line do you do if any?
I am now trained on (initally) on pest control which means that I can buy the poisons but personally would need more training when actually doing the job. I can do wasp nest though and will look into that with my present custys this summer. well (maby, maby not) I still need to shell out £200 for the gear and thats ontop of work needing to be done to the car. so I am still undecided. Can always do next year if not this one.

I've thought about offering wheelie bin cleaning to my customers, how much do you charge for a bin?

No, I don't. I do five days  a month and sometimes you can get to cleans in a month . Some are my customers but it's fantastic for when it's raining. That's why I did it

I started carpet cleaning in September, I now get more calls for carpet cleaning than window cleaning.
Happy Days!

do you just use a normal pressure washer or do you have one of these machines that recycle the dirty water? Sorry about all the questions but I'm seriously thinking about doing bins alongside my window cleaning.

You need one that recycles the water if you want to stay legal. But from what I have seen there are a lot that don't.

Yes I just use a power washer one that's got a good pump on it because some jet washes need. tape      Pressure , no, I don't recycle the dirty water  to go further jet wash again and I've been passed by the Council and the drainage they gave me a spot check and they passed me

Well, as i said, last year was my first, started about June time. You need to spend good money on a good web site, and get it marketed well, it is a saturated market, BUT, get your name out there and you will earn.

Im looking at getting a seperate vehicle for pest maybe end of this year.

Wasps are great earners, but dont sell yourself cheap. Mail me mjhaywood@btinternet.com will give you an idea on price.

who you train with? Killgerm?
