Dont think they do, heat the plastic end up on the harris pole and screw a brush into it and bite a new thread into it. Simple and fast

I have used an alloy cone thread from a broken pole,it does'nt go in the pole end but around it,it was a tad bit to small but If you bend the end piece of the harris slightly it will go in,no glue needed as its quite a tight fit when hammered in a bit,I think the Bently inserts are a tad too small for the harris pole but would be ok if screwed in place :)

Buy a budget broom from tescos as the thread is the same size and diameter. Only cost about 3 quid

I did this and the insert from the bently broom is slightly smaller,i rectifies this by inserting a screw either side. And i still never answered my own question which is the same as the op's........which insert fits correctly into the harris pole, the 18mm or the 19.5mm one. I was in a rush and forgot to measure.

Well. I bought a Harris pole yesterday and fitted my spare supalight brush on the end (with angle adapter) drilled a hole near top of the top section for hose and hey presto!
Thats my son fully equiped for some pole lessons tomorrow  ;D

Cheers for the tip Sensai about heating up black plastic end of pole and making a new thread ;)

Cheap pole = false economy, been there done that. Buy a CLX it will pay for itself over and over with the time you save on each job. Time is money

I agree to an extent Vince.. but Ive got 2 Gardiner poles already and just need something for son to practice with. There are guys here that have had Harris poles for years.

John I have looked at your back posts and all you do is plug another forum. why?

I am member of both and don't feel it necessary

Stu, I noticed this a while back and John has got to be Matt. Sad I know but that is what I think.
The Harris, great lightweight, robust, value for money, everyday domestic pole.

Finally someone who listened! Its so much quicker than cutting old end off and faffing round with threads that dont fit in there and come loose in time.

And Vince i disagree with your comment, the harris is a brilliant pole, im not disputing the clx is a good pole either, but i used to have xtel poles and was going through them about every 3 months and at £120 a pop it wasnt funny. I bought my harris over 18 months ago now, £15...and its still going strong, clamps maybe a little loose now but for £15 ill go get another!

I aint got a bad word to say about them. I cant see you saving any time with having a clx over a harris on any job.

Progress report..

Had 2 fascia cleans and 4 houses to do today. Son loved the Harris pole (after having a go last week with 6 month old Brodex..how they are still selling poles I dont know!!). I gave him a little go on my SLX and he prefered the Harris! :o

Wish I had listened to the Diy ers years ago!

Thanks again for advice guys
