Title: Simple cure for leaking EZsnap type fittings.
Post by: AuRavelling79 on April 14, 2011, 10:46:34 pm
As you know them thar EZsnap jobbies leak like a sieve once they are a bit worn or knocked and they aren't cheap.

So wrap about 2" of PTFE round the male part of the joint and it's all snug and dry again and you can take it apart a couple of times before having to do it again.

Instead of lasting six days I now get six months to a year out of them.

Bonzer!

Use rectus 19 (or rectus 26, the same but in brass) connectors instead of rectus 21. MUCH better suited to wfp, if a little bigger.

@ gold, thanks for the tip mate, the plastic ez snaps are prone to leak (plasic on plastic) but the alloy metal male fitting on my pole hole never leaks (plastic on metal)
