good enough for him to make a ton 60 a day, convert to wfp that will be 2 ton ;) not bad money for unskilled labour

If he makes 160 a day trad @ £8 per 3 bed bay, then he would give Terry Burrows a run for his money !!!

You`re right, you`ve talked me round.
I`d only do one window of the house at them prices. I don`t know why you bother cleaning them all down south.
-
Trippy you underestimate the speed and guile of a northern window cleaner ;D and maybe a wee bit exaggerating on the add, I would guess that would be a long hard day ;) there are guys doing them property's up here for far less
-
He is clever because he doesnt have give a list of customers addresses . . . . . just by the photos you know the pricing structure he has. I dont think you can judge another a wc prices and business in another area, like any purchase you have to meet the seller and the customers and do the homework.
-
im down south and i would prob only charge £2 more per house on those prices. but alot of people i know would prob charge £4 0r £5 more
-
I think his prices a pretty much on par with mine and most are charging far less round my way.
if it is compact it will be good work, if spread out rubbish work. but as I don't know the value of the round or how long it takes there is no way to tell if the asking price is good or not
-
nowt wrong with the prices, houses shown are straight forward 20 mins max work,im sure its going be based on per semi not both houses, but very much dowt he will be doing £160 a day trad :-\
-
well first of all, i think the £160 per day is bs, secondly on a personal level, i would not touch those prices with toshes new slx ;D
I did show my mrs those pics, much to her annoyence coz she was watching the latest harry potter dvd, and she priced them herself at least 30% higher
-

trippy I used to live 30 minutes from you and I would be a lot higher with my pricing as well where you are, the guy that is selling that is on teeside, and I have no idea what the prices are like there but I am guessing that isn't two bad if not good.
for the mortgage on my house 4 bed, I couldn't get a flat down your way ;)

Stu i have seen rounds for sale on teeside before, infact several, and this round is very lowly priced. The owner of the round has put 3 or 4 pics up of houses and prices, i would imagine they are his best work.
A 3 bed semi around here, would cost about 140k mate, so not expensive really
-
maybe Trippy ;) but as I said the ad is lacking in many details that would have to answered before purchase and could be great or cr*p round
by the way 4 bed terraced here was 80k ;D

-
a fraction underpriced but not too far. it looks like a regular "sloggers round" / could be he has wore his body out in 4 years if doing it alone making 160 per day
-
i also suspect the pictures are of his best work ;D bless him, i'd want rid of that work too, he's probaby selling off the underpriced stuff and keeping the cream!
and planning on canvassing correctly priced work now he knows what he's on with after 4 year on the glass ;D

well seing you live in the rough part of bristol, you wont get a 3 bed semi around are way for that 140k,look at 180k+

For new work my prices would be close to double what is listed on there. I have older work where the prices might be only about 40% higher though (haven't increased prices often enough).
-
Did anyone else pick up what it said in the advert. Its not due to be cleaned again until first week in may. can't be much of a round. And underpriced.
-
Without all the details i think it's a little unfair to pull this guy apart.
personally i don't think the prices are too bad, light yes, but if hes got a dozen or more in the street - no problem,
also he may no do frames so would be quite quick.
Why be critical and poke holes at some1 who could have been working hard to make his round work - and £160 is teeside is good money i would have thought.
A while ago people got all hot and bothered when posting £100 ph because other said it was bs, yet those people
are more than happy to rip others apart ( and those who cant even defend themselves )

to be fair he is only asking 4k for it so round is proberly around the 1k a month,he would of done that by now in april,he will more likely be keeping the second part of the round and going on to build new work up
-
How the heck can anyone bid when he hasn't told you what your bidding for? How much per month etc.
I personally think the amount it "takes" per day is highly irrelevant. I know a few window cleaners who do about £100 per day, and also some who make £400, it's all down to speed, technique and attitude.
At the prices the guy has shown as examples here I rekon £160 is average for a "plodder" tho.
If there's at least £1-1.5k per 4w then it's a good start for a newby or a nice project to increase value for the right experienced windy.

The round has been for sale a year, people know on Teesside, how low some prices are, but i thinks it fair for area, its in Acklam, Middlesbrough. Over the road the same type of semis were for sale last year at £2.50 to £2.80 each. As for cleaning 3 semis in an hour you would need to work hard and do a ten hour day, and thats without collecting. The guy thinks its worth it for the money, and from ebay add, wants a 20% deposit, so for maybe £800 investment you can earn and have a round, if it was wfp, as the other forum member said earn £200 a day, and compared to most full time jobs on Teesside, you are luck to bring home £200 a week.
