-
Is it just bandaged?, or is it poss to have a small cast? Would you then be able to walk a little?
Mr B
Good luck with a real speedy recovery,
It's a real pain in the arris when you don't get any sick pay....
I try to remember that when I price up work !
-
ekhart tolle "the power of now"
That's a very Boodhist book; I read it a few years back; Tolle basically teaches Buddhist Mindfulness. It's a good read, but you've got to be receptive to it, because the first time I read it I thought it was a load of rollox.
Anyway, these days I'm so present, I make Tolle's The Power of Now, look like the Power of Then! (That's just a little joke). ;D
P.S. Tolle's A New Earth is a good read too.
-
tosh i also have a book called "the tibetan book of living and dying" by somebody called mr ...........rinpoche(cant remember his first name!! ;D ;D).very interesting on the eastern views on life and death!full of old sages and poems that are thousands of years old but still ring true today.lots of spiritual truth and very heart warming read.
-
tosh beat me to it, i was gonna suggest "a new earth" by eckart tolle. ive got the audio books of this and "the power of now" so i listen to em at work on my mp3 player! ;)
-
Maybe you could take the opportunity to try some meditation Daz. Tosh could give you a few pointers.
Get well soon.
-
At least you didn't go bouncing around on your head off a ladder.
-
sorry to break the news daz but i tore the ligaments in my ankle afew years ago it took ten weeks to get better, never been the same since. anyway wheres my scythe? Ive got some reeping to do!!! ;D
-
i broke three bones in my foot about 7 years ago, and right now ive never been fitter in my life. so my advice daz is dont listen to the bad vides. footy player get injured all the time and come back stronger!
you just gota know the best way to let injurys repair and have the right after care etc! nutrition is a big factor too i recon.
you are what you eat ;)
-
Well look on the bright side, we can even turn your misfortune into a WFP v trad debate by saying you will be back working sooner, maybe not full time but still sooner with WFP.
Getting back onto ladders would be that much harder, and slower.
-
Dazmond - I have just put a claim in for sick pay. See http://www.dwp.gov.uk/advisers/claimforms/sc1_print.pdf
You might want to consider it.
Cheers

thanks lads.dd i dont think i need any pointers on meditation mate!ive been practising it for years!!its a personal thing and there are many different depths of meditation!! ;D ;D ;D ;D.
im hoping to at least make a start on some work next week.even if its only half days!! ;D ;D
if i was on the ladders full time im sure id have to have a lot longer than a few weeks off to recover before being able to be out there earning a wedge! ;D ;D

We play 5 a side on a friday, our keeper, got his jaw broke in 3 places last friday, a lad going for the ball run through him as he dropped to his knees to grab it, nasty stuff!!

Hope you get fit again soon Dazmond.
