Title: Domestic Cleaning Mileage

We are going to be taking on some regular domestic cleans. What is the situation re travelling time between one customer to the next etc. They will need to use their own cars do I have to pay mileage or can I pay a bit extra on top of hourly rate.
Please any comments of advice would be really appreciated

Hi Barbara

We don't pay for in between clients because travel time is something they can make up and use as their break time.  However, to get away with this you need to make sure that you are paying a high enough hourly rate or you run the risk of breaching minimum wage laws.
