Hi Guys, got a bit of a problem you may have seen my earlier post about a week ago or so regarding wiring up a old veristream controller the (dial type) to an old 60psi FLojet pump on an omnipole system..
Well i complicted the wiring today and it runs but there is a problem the pump itself is leaking from the pump body were the metal changes to plastic casing. And the green LED on the veristream flickers and the pump wont shut off when the hose is disconnected from pole.
Any one no why this could be :-[

this veristream was originally wired into a trolley with a 100psi surflo pump.. i took it off today and wired to 60 psi flojet which was being used with a bypass.. now the pump leaking from the pump body itself when hose is disconnected and wont shut off either!!
any help plz guys

You need to open the Varistream up (4 screws) and reduce the electronic pressure switch by turning/adjusting the screw on the blue pot. If it was set at 80 psi and you are using a 60psi pump, this kind of answers your problems.
This topic of varistream adjustment with both the old manual version and the new digital version seems to be a regular problem area and the same question is raised time and time again. Doesn't anyone do a search anymore for the answers and how to adjust them?

thanks for that,
all that seems to mention is ballooning of the pipes etc they where fine.. just the actual body of the pump was leaking... unless the seals r on the way out or the pump itself.
but i will have a go at adjusting tomorrow
-
i would say the seals have blown out. you can get a repair kit but i wouldnt bother with one of them and just get a new pump. i have used shurflo pump for ages now and never had a problem with them
-
Hi scrim, it does look that way to me luckily i do have a spare pump 100 psi shurflo.
i will try adjusting the veristream control first because i need to use it today then hopefully get it changed this week if it carries on
-
well just turned it down carn't remember to what letter but about 10am ish on the dial and yeah scrim looks as if your right the seals blown as it the veristream only shut off once but for short while it still leaking lol

water coming from between the motor and pump head is normaly bad news,, glad you have sorted it..
-
Well its not really sorted but needed to use it today.
Yeah its leaking from the pump body were the metal changes to plastic down by the hoses if you get me?
