Although this would have a long closed length has anyone done it?

I use 17ft poles all day bu I have a few places where i have to get the superlite out for one window that i cant reach and it really does my nut in puttin all poles together then putting it all away again. I just want something cheap i can grab to do them.
Ive got all the spares to do it, and i have done loads of harris poles, so is this the same thing as harris but longer?
-
i have one, its not been converted its just used as a trad pole. And yes its exactly the same as a Harris, only taller. I would say you could convert it exactly the same as one.

Blimey aint seen one of them for 15 years, its an old evergreen classic Unger. Are they being re-introduced ? problem with them was they are long to store and you cannot reach the collars. Heavy but a good price.

I bought one of these years ago (pre wfp) Don't think I ever used it, and have no idea where it went! ??? But as Jeff said its a good price, and it should be ok for occaissional use.

I've just remembered why I hardly used my 30ft unger... the clamps were a nightmare!!! :(
-
Yeah,I had one of these a few years back but it was the Unger make,I think this one on Ebay is a copy of Unger and I found the little thread things on the cone clamp part wore down very quickly, there was four to each clamp, mind you I paid over double for a 33 foot pole like this one,I reckon it's a good buy for the occasional higher work but I would'nt use this pole everyday as the clamps will wear down very quickly and stick but you can replace the thread pieces easily, there is a bloke called Kirky on another forum and he swears by the Unger poles he has converted but each to their own. ;)

Got one myself years ago, hardly used it all,too heavy and like Jeff
Brimble mentioned, too long to store etc.
Regarding the 4 `prong`clamp `thingies`wearing etc,I went last week
To the local area Ionics road show near Leeds.
They were demonstrating their carbon fiber `Grafter`and `Glyder`poles.
The transverse clamps complete, has anyone tried,or do they fit the Unger
Tele-Plus or Opti-Loc poles ?
The aluminium sections of the Unger may not `nip up`like the Glider or
Grafter,possibly,possibly not.
Jeff,or any members what do ya think.
Thanks for replies.

Yeh i see what your saying about the clamps being out of way...but surely gotta be a hell of a lot quicker than me puttin my supalite together. As i said it aint for all day use, its for occasional here and there jobs.
Cheers chaps, will get one i think at that price.
