Title: Records for cash payments.
Post by: WinTech on April 07, 2011, 08:29:17 pm
How do you guys record takings for cash payments.

I just add up at the end of the day what cash has been taken and make a record of it.

My accountant thinks I should give a reciept for every cash payment taken but knows it is going to be a lot of hastle for me.

He says the IR like to see good records for cash takings.

Any better ideas or do you do sim to me.

As I push for other methods of payment I do not take in to much cash.

 ;D ;D ;D ;D TRUE!

When you record your days work, just make a record of what the payments were, i.e. cash, cheque etc.

round software?

what century are you living in? ;D ;D ;D ;D

george or roundtracker are two of the best value for money programs to keep track of ALL your payments whether online, cheques or cash.

great for printing invoices, worksheets(if needed!)and debt lists.

I use George, Wcp small pad with one side Cash In and other side with Payments so I add the Cash In up at end of day and take off Payments and whats left is Profits and that goes into the business bank account. And I record all this into Accountancy Book the Daily Takens ETC, And then I enter figures on a spread sheet with Monthly Profits ETC.. Hope this helps  :) :)

That was tongue in cheek, hence the smiley.

it seems every time a question like this comes up, everyone is whiter than white.
