Title: washing powder

can anyone help me, i was getting loads of smears from my microcloths, realised it was soap building up from the washing powder not being rinsed out properly. can anyone let me know of a good powder that they use, thanks

NOT SURE WHICH POWDER. I USE LIQUID, YOUR NOT USING FABRIC SOFTENER ARE YOU? COS THAT WILL RUIN YOUR CLOTHS.

Dont know mate, dont think so  ??? try putting them on for an extra rinse. no doubt someone will be along shortly telling me this is girls talk  ;D

 i was leaving my cloths under my buckets to absorb the overspill, i think it was probly the wrong thing to do. the micro cloths were in soapy water all day untill i twigged. just wanted to know if you use normal powder.

I just put my cloths on a rinse first then a boil wash without liquid or powder.there's enough liquid soaked in them.

 i think i will  get one of the own brand types they are basic probly the way to go

Lidls own brand concentrated biological £2.49 for 1 lt does 28 washes ,which compared it its the 2nd best buy

there is usually enough detergent in the cloths that I just chuck them and press go with no soap powder,

 no i need something that will get them clean, mine are usally fiithy, but kep't getting smears, put down to wrong powder thought there would be a liquid or powder everyone used.

trust me mate been doing it 9 years you dont need to put any thing in it they will come clean with the hot water and soap thats already in them

I leave mine to soak in de-ionised water.  Then I wash them by hand after they've had a good soak.  No tap water.  No powder.
I also do this with my Easyshine pads.  It's even more important with them.  I washed them in the machine once and the next job I did with them I had to go over again with a squeegee because it was rubbish.

I bung em in on 60 degrees with no or only a little plain washing powder.any old cheap stuff will do with NO FABRIC CONDITIONER!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

i wash mine in the cheapest washing liquid. no conditioner no frills, i get it from aldi

I recently had a complaint about smears so rinsed all scrims, I think I'd been using too much soap, it took nearly all day, so now will wash them with very little or maybe no soap at all and give them an extra rinse.
Don't forget to claim for washing etc when doing tax return. I charge about £8 a week for washing and drying.

Thanks for all the info  i am going to try hot wash little powder extra rinse thats a combination of all the information

have never washed any cloths with a powder just on the hottest wash
