today i was informed they required a window cleaner so off i pop to see what they need done. Find sout they only want a one off clean as getting a visit from head office. Told the guy that they dropped me like a stone othe ryear and i wasn't interested in the work LOL. It wasn't the manager fault but the company trying to save cash. The plae was filthy looking and i hope hea doffice see that. All to save a fiver a week as well. ;D

Woulda been worth some money to ya tho bud, one off cleans. If it was head office that made the decision cant blame the store. I used to do a shop in town, was brilliant money but then the store were told they had to sort it out, thats when they had to stop as couldnt afford it.
One off cleans mate charge more and it will be an extra for you.

Thats what I really do not understand about these stores, why clean it up because some bod from head office is visiting? Just leave it as it is, so they actually see what its really like and what it looks like for their customers who if they didn't have they would go bust, if the customers have to put up with the mess why shouldn't the head office bod? Then perhaps when they visit and the place is filthy they might just find a budget to get the job done regularly

Must agree about the rush to get it done for head office when rest of time round it looks terrible. Just did an internal job last week and i know they spent literally 1000's and 1000's on cleaning, 2 of us were there, there were cleaners everywhere and pressure washing people outside, carpet cleaners etc etc, for a 10 minute visit from some official person. Crazyness

Because there expected to do it themselves, I just picked up a weekly clean but when he got hold of me it was 20 to 11, and all vans have to be off the pedestrian zone by 11am, so I said I would do the outsides as the insides had to be cleared of pallets and I didn't have time to wait about. The young twenty year old manager(well he looked it) was franticly cleaning the insides when I finished as his staff obviously told him to poke it. Have to say though when I turned up the next week he hadn't done to bad a job although this time he had the floor cleared and I got a right good clean of it. but I fully expect to lose this job once head office realise the money is going in petty cash.

Also talking to an assistant manager for another shop, and they get inspected for windows etc and get points awarded or taking away for the state of shops etc :o like being at school with smiley faces

yeah i could have made money but maybe hea doffice should see the state of the store what it's like on a daily basis. Not the managers fault but the company head office.
