Title: Which RO
Post by: thewindowcleaner1 on September 29, 2005, 07:23:19 pm
I run Merlin at present but I know I,ve read on this forum that there is a better one for fitting in vehicle to produce water on site at a good rate,
I've been going though past thread's until my eyes have changed sides.

any help welcomed

Alan

Hi Alan,i also run the merlin as you know,iv`e read that the trouble with the merlin is that it doesn`t bring down the tds readings aswell as other ro`s,unless you add a booster pump, but this reduces the life span of the membranes, but it does produce about 3000 litres aday as standard,im quite happy with the way mine runs, but i would like to know myself what other ro`s are reccomended,Gaz.

I have a pentair 4 x 40 R/O and it will fill 1,000ltrs in 3 hours, thats faster than 2 of us can use it.

My tap tds is 234 and it comes out the R/O at 0.01 with a waste ratio of 1 to 1.

i sell it all on a stainless steel  panel with booster pump, needle valve, cut of solenoid and float switch for  telling system to stop making water ,it comes with all connectors for whatever use you intend to use it for .van panel  comes with either battery to use as a van mount with a split charger abilitity to mean never need to charge its battery  or mains adaptor for use as a static it has a ratio rate of only 25 % being rejected  so it is adaptable and effeciant in making water , its currently our biggest seller , 01435 873555 or 07944227635   tony

with booster will make approx 3.5 liters a minute from most main presure bringing the tds down to anywhere from 001-012 worst case depends how high your water tds is

i know its not where you bought yours from roy but its the same 40x 40 membraine

cost £1000.00 plus vat

Hi Steve

I bought mine from stream, costs about £500 for R/o and then 20" Fillter housings and 25" D/I colum your not going to get a lot of change out of £1,000.

So Sair offer with cut off ect seems a good one.

Its top bit of kit and I like the fact if I put it on in the morning for a couple of hours you have more than enough for one man.

Hi Gary

Is it a ballvavle that you use?

As mine is on the van and the movment of water play havoc with the plastic ball vavles.

Shawn

My 4 x 40 produces 1,000 in 3hrs.

I have 2 x 20" fillter housings that contain 1 carbon fillter and on sediment fillter.

also 25" x 8" d/i colum.

It does same job as a small unit except faster and a bit more efectivly.

First                20" fillter housing with sediement fillter.
Second           20"     "        "           "   Carbon Fillter.
Then 4 x 40 Ro

Then I have water in to tank at 0.01 tds.

Then from tank through pump through 8" x 25" d/i colum down hose on to window.

roy is yours boostered to make 1000l in 3 hours i would imagine it is as 5.5 l a min is unusal for mains pressure , exceptanional.
and i do sell cut of seperate , it consists of float switch and solenoid and eco flow regulator it has to be set up correctly before r/o to cut of the r/o so depends if r/o are on board or not   01435 873555 0744 227635
