"no only monthly"
now another windy i know is exactly the same.
went to do a qoute gave the lady a price, monthly price "thats ok but do them every two months" that will be £3.00 extra "oh oh ok"
and straight away i thought you will cancell after a few cleans
so monthlys or accomadate two monthlys.........decisions decisions
any views anybody

I've offered longer cleaning frequencies for a few years now, and they're all my best work; mostly for larger type properties (which I class at £20 plus).
You charge high and soften the blow with a longer cleaning frequency. Tell the customer this and point out that not all window cleaners offer this service (they don't). Sometimes the customer may first appear to want them cleaned more regular, but even here I'll explain that many customers start out that way, then once the novelty wears off, they're not so keen to have a short-frequency-clean, and that a slightly higher charge and longer frequency tends to work best for my customers.
If you charge a good price and turn up every-four-weeks they'll groan, but if you charge a good priced and turn up every 8 to 10 weeks, they're less likely to moan/drop you.
The only downside is it takes longer to build up this clientèle.
That's been my experience.

thanks for the reply tosh
i have just sat there for a few seconds watching your"balls" clang together realising im slowly dyding :( :( :( ;D

Anyone watching Tosh's balls is better off dead anyway :)

I'm only doing 3 months from now on swapping all mine over ..... Only kidding.
When I quote a new customer now I offer a 1 month price and a 2 month price about a quarter go with 1 month price but they know upfront that it will cost more to go 2 month suits me and keeps them happy
-
99% of all my new work is going 6 weekly
-
Nobody ever wants monthly these days.
-
You're joking I hope! 90% of my customers are on monthly cleans and are happy with it. A few even have it done fortnightly (about thirty). This is not counting the commercial customers most of which are weekly or fortnightly.
-
I go back to monthly cleans and they are spotless. Two monthly at a premium is the way to go, but as above, it takes much longer to build. Fortunately I am still running down another business and can afford the extra time it takes.

This is my experience too. My round grew more last year than the previous 5 years combined by going to 8 weekly.
-
Yeah i do 4 or 8 weekly .... longer aswell but its priced VERY well.
I give them the price for monthly and if they want 2 monthly i give them the new price - +25%
-

-

All my clients are monthly cleans. All are at the high end of the pay for the area. All are canvassed in the last 9 months. We just dont offer anything other than monthly. WHy would you offer bi monthly? it pretty much halves your client's worth to you? We're just confident with what we offer and tell the clients what they get with us. And they're very happy with us! ;D

80-90% are monthly

you cant always get away with charging that much more £12 wont be a problem , wfp has improved things but cos most prefer 2 monthly the windows just stay clean for months after and amongs other reasons. the customer in general i find prefer 2 monthly
-
problem with that is its only £6.00 a month minus expenses you would need alottt of customers to make a living from that. 16.00 is only 7.50 a month as well.
-
95% of my round is 5 weekly but id say at least half of them would be happy to go 10 weeks,i will start to introduce this slowly with a 40 - 50% extra charge when im bursting at the seams
i changed my round from monthly to 5 weeks as it was to soon, but still seems like it comes around to fast but not going to go 6 weekly for same price,it will be 5 or 10 weeks
-
99% of all my new work is going 6 weekly
Mind you, I tell a lot of new custies, (when they ask what frequency i work on) 5 or 6 weekly and they are fine with that...this gives me the option to bring a few forward if Im having a quiet week
