thats the type i am currently using, well one gardiner used to sell just a different colour. Got one of the new gardiner ones coming tomorrow as they said it is better than anything they have ever used so that means my one too.

don't get that one from cleaning spot mate. I have the same one (but blue) from pure freedom and its a bit pants to be honest. It easily falls over, which end up damaging/stripping the thread on the hozelock connector on it, and the rim could do with being a smooth wheel type rather than having chunks out of it for the hose to catch on.

I have only used this one so cannot really recommend one. The new gardiners one does look ok though. Perhaps someone else could advise you better than me.

i had 2 of the blue ones, but from pure freedom, they fall over easily, and the paint comes off in no time, also the centre pieces wear out quickly and you'll have to replace them at least once a year depending on how often you use them,i'm setting up my van system over the coming weeks, and i'm going for the brodex reels, they come with lifetime guarantee (see pic below)

regards Brian.

I have to agree with chops. Ive also got one of these type reels but its chucked in the garage for a spare and Ive gone back to using my old Gardena reel (with round sides).
Those reels from Gardiners look ideal in my opinion

We use a blue version of one of these and find it very unstable unless it is fixed into the van.

I do like the look of the new one on gardner site but have seen the cheaper else where

Hi, guys. I have been using this kind of reels since +/- 3 years. They are really good. My ones i bought from this website http://www.easywatering.co.uk/acatalog/claber_metal40.html . The internal connections
are plastic, to assemble the crank don't over tid it because can breaks easily. CONCEPT O2 uses the same ones.

Gardiner's have just started selling them and I've put two of 'em together today.  I can't really comment on them, since I've not used them yet, but they easily hold 100 m of microbore.

Did you check the separate box indicating that you wanted the fittings?  If so, they forgot to send you it.  If not, they didn't send it because you never ordered it.

Do you know how much you paid by internet banking maybe?

Added later; on your invoice it'll tell you if you ordered it or not.

I ordered it as soon as they went live on the site and for a short time it was listed with the kit inc, not as an option. I think this is where the confusion lies. I paid £56 odd which is the correct price for the reel + fittings. i have emailed im sure i will have the bits by tursday.
