Title: And what about work trousers?
Post by: Tom White on April 03, 2011, 10:26:36 pm: Since we've got the work boots post, what about troosahs?

I quite like the Regatta style (are they called Rigger Trousers) work trousers 'cos there's lots of pockets with zips on them, but I also like something with an elasticated waist, 'cos I'm over 40 now (though you'd not think it, and I'm not talking about my behaviour either).

So what work trousers do you use?

Post by: dazmond on April 03, 2011, 10:36:32 pm: combat style craghoppers are good.i also have some very light thin combats for warmer weather.great to have a lot of pockets for mobile,keys,invoices etc as i often just have a polo shirt on up top in spring/summer.

i dont bother wearing jeans for work anymore!makes your look chavvy and "cowboyish" these days IMO.

BLACK COMBATS & LOGO D POLO SHIRTS A MUST if you want to look the part and more professional ;D ;D ;D!

Post by: mci services on April 03, 2011, 10:40:40 pm: I like the regatta type but they fall apart to quickly for me, currently wearing combat type trousers that my mrs bought me from next. she isn't pleased I am wearing them for work but I like them, but these again are nearly worn out. Had a couple of really cheap but great trousers I bought for a few quid in NI but I wore them doing a tiling job so they are ruined being covered in adhesive and grout :-[

The Historical Buddha was slim, mate! In his life story, prior to Enlightenment he lived an ascetic life and nearly starved to death, so he wasn't fat. There's a few theories where the fat bloke came from, but it's down to the Chinese who changed his image for marketing purposes. Since Noblemen weren't meant to be athletic (that was the realm of soldiers and tradesmen, like window cleaners ;D); and in Chinese culture, rubbing someone's fat belly is done for good luck, a bit like touching wood to prevent bad luck in the West! Hence the fat Buddha!

And I'm not getting fat either, I just like doughnuts and comfortable clothing. ;D :-[

Yep, that's the one. The story is, if you want me to try to educate you (if you can educate pork that is ;D), The Buddha (Gautama Shakyamuni)

So, I don't know really who the fat bloke is that everyone thinks is Buddha, though he reminds me of my Uncle Takahiko.
