Title: 2004 Transit locking mechanism
Post by: Pure Glass on April 03, 2011, 09:29:54 pm
Went to lock the van tonight- had my extension lead in through the back door, connecting to the booster pump. The van locking mechanism wouldnt lock, so I put the lead through the side door.

Went round to lock the van, now wont lock. The key in the drivers door just wont turn to lock.

I know its not a wc question, but help would be appreciated.

Mine won;t lock until all doors are fully closed. Not sure if that helps you.

Thanks for the forum suggestion lads.

Turns out that if the lock rejects 3 times it resets the locks and wont lock at all.

If you turn the ignition to position 2, 8 times within succession, finishing in the on position, it resets the locks.
