Title: new job out of my reach

had a call early in week for a job in manchester told the lady calling will call and price it up new it was a big job but when i got there this morning and talked to the second in command she went through what had to be cleaned witch was all restraunt and reception well this was a lot of work then came the shock  every room inside and outside of hotel mind you 9 floors up said i could not do this you need cleaners who can absail  i was gutted just out of my leauge
but she did say will have a word with boss to see if they could just do so many floors that i could reach  i hope they do fingers crossed

sub it to abseilers so you keep the job and still make a bit

would not get the real high ones of a pole window set back too much got a 60 foot pole thought i would never be short for a job but this one proofed me wrong if she wants it done by absailing will pass it onto someone on here who does that type of work am gutted as its a very top hotel so would of been a good reliable job

dont like subbing find there is always issues with doing this if they want it done absailing will pass it on hope the person i pass it on to will pass a good job on to me makes the world go by

Thanks Gav your right, the 88ft was the actual pole height,so maybe it was a 90ft plus job!  first thing is to get a ball of string and measure the distance from the window tops of the top floor-or approximate. Dont give up yet landy2, it maybe do able, want some help ?

i know the job your on about, i should have gone see3ing her friday but due to unforseen circumstances i couldnt make it.

I am meeting her tomorrow afternoon instead  ;)

Its only a one off which is dissapointing
