Title: This is what I plan to buy now; comments welcome so I don't waste my 'ard earned
Post by: Tom White on April 01, 2011, 10:24:22 pm
http://www.thecleaningwarehouse.co.uk/index.asp?function=CART&ECD=3140&productid=#

Hydroflow Pump controller with built in battery charger
Shurflow Pump x 1
Shurflow Pump + Varistream pump controller

Cost £333.66

http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/cgi-bin/ca000001.pl?ACTION=SHOWCART

SL-X with brush (for Wor Lass)
2 x 100 meters of microbore 6mm
2 x Lightweight freestanding hose reel + connection packs
1 x NITO male connector (to connect tank to hose)

Cost £482.52

Total cost so far £816.18

(I'm debating about getting another SLX, but I'd rather have the cheaper CLX, but there doesn't seen to be an 18 foot one in stock.  >:()

Anyway, any comments would be welcome before I finalise my purchase, and have I missed anything for a two man set up?

The work for me, but they probably don't work for you because they're both on the view cart page before I part with me money!  :'(

link dont work, but the list looks good.

are you plumbing it all in yourself? if so get some of the reiinforced 1/2" hose from gardiners and some jubilee clips to connect the pumps to the tank and then to the reels.

Thanks Lee, that's helpful.

But what about connectors from the end of my microbore to my pole hose.

What are you trendy window cleaners using these days?

Also, do I need two filters for my shurflo pumps?

Kentkleen; I've ordered Gardiners new hose reels, but thanks mate.

Lee/anyone,

How many meters of 1/2 inch hose will I need for a two man set up, approx?  It'll be for from my tank to pumps to hose reels.  Obviously I'll get more than what's required, but I don't want to order 20 meters when 10 will do.

Thanks in advance!  ;D

10m is miles too much.  You'll need about 1-2m I reckon.

What the heck have you been using up to now, Tosh?

Why did you ask this Q on a Friday night when Special brew is on offer at Bargain Booze?

Tosh, gardiners EZ snap connectors for th microbore to pole connectors, yes to pump filters, and if you are going to lift reels out of your van and put them on the floor you will need more than 1-2m.

That's me flippin' skint now!  >:(

We'd better make substantially more money for less physical effort after forking all this out.  We could've had a really nice holiday for what we've spent!

my first system never had them and the pump is just fine. In fact i might just ditch the one I have on now as it doesn't do anything, I mean who much dirt can be in water that is already 000ppm ???

Looks a bit complicated for me:

Link just goes to website.

Tosh, try Halfords or Maplins. It's only a vehical type fuse you want.  Don't fret.  I don't even have a fused connection.  Why would I?

Just ask the geek at the counter: how do I protect a 12v pump, d00d?
