It's a bit odd, innit?  It's quite legit, though, nothing illegal.

The price of the reels has not changed at all since we started selling them. What has changed is the pricing with 'Connector Pack'. When we first listed the reels the price shown included the 'Connector Pack' - however yesterday we changed the way they are listed and put the connection pack as an add-on option (+£9.95). This makes the reels look £10 cheaper than they were, but in reality the price has not changed.

What is the connection pack for ?   I use the 6mm  ez snap fittings so would I need it ?

Thanks.

I should imagine you get a brass swivel connector and a 13mm to micro/mini bore barbed connector

You would still need to use the EZ-Snap fitting on the end of the Microbore hose. The 'Connector Pack' consists of two components:
1. A Brass swivel elbow for the inlet instead of the standard straight male connection. This allows for more reliable and leak free inlet connection.

2. A Plug-in Microbore adapter. The hose-reel has central male hozelock-type connection, this adapter plugs onto this and allows the microbore to be fitted to the 6mm barb.

The two items are shown below.

Thank you, just one last question . . . . . . how many metres of hose will fit onto it ?

We have been using these reels with 100 meters of Microbore hose which very easily fits on. You could probably squeeze another 20m on you wanted to.

Is the spool one piece or does it clip together like the crummy Hozelock ones?
Yesterday my pump wouldn't stop, probably due to the warmer weather. If I had used the Hozelock reel it would have blown apart.

The centre spool is a made of the 3 curved metal sections which bolt fasten to the metal sides. They are slightly heavier than Hozelock type reels, but they are much stronger and much more stable. You can easily reel off a full 100m of Microbore without it overbalancing the reel.
