Can it be used instead of isopropanol?

don't know, but it cost £7.50 to fill a can yesterday.

It was only for the mower, it would be cheaper to buy a donkey than to mow the lawn.

At least the donkey could go on the BBQ afterwards and make an evening of it.

Did you know that old engine oil is good for fertilizing your lawn?

No, didn't know that, but it's great for protecting your fences.  Just paint it on.  Instant waterproofing.

on to subject, would not recommend due to all the poop they put in it these days.
not getting deep into it but when you buy your gallon of petrol you don't get a gallon of petroleum distillate ( petrol) if you get it from a certain leading supermarket station it can contain up to 10% methanol just for starters.
