I'm in the market for a new wand and was wondering which wand you use?
I have a single jet 1.5" and a Prochem Ti wand.
Shaun
PS and what do you think of your wand?
-
I've ordered a Evo wand! I used Steve Knight's before i ordered and i loved it! I think you've really got to try one before you buy one but i know thats difficult at times!
Anyway good luck
-
I've only ever used a wonderwand and I've no complaints :)
-
Must admit to having lost faith in my 4 jet westpack, just doesn't seem to pull up as much water as it used to, evidenced by running a clear hand tool over it afterwards and still seeing a fair amount of water being drawn up.
-
Could be the glide is knackered, Billy which size evo have you bought?
Shaun

Have you worn the Ti wand out :o :o
-
Just too big, wish it were a bit smaller but I'm not shelling out another grand to buy a new one!
Way I see it it's a choice between a Bentley wand, Prochem Quad or Evolution but looking for some feed back first, you can then buy my Ti wand and let big TM of yours breath ;D

defo the wonder wand, best wand i've ever used, i'm so impressed, i perchased another one today, something to do with the end of the tax year for me.....

Shaun, Ive had an evo 1.5 inch version for a few months now, it's light a nimble and feels real sweet to use.
But, I would get over excited, a few cons, it's drips-no major prob but annoying, there's no fllter, your definitely need to fit one by the QD or your get jet blockages.
But biggest issue is in my opinion it's no use on loop pile similar to other glided wands it just won't lock down as hard on a loop pile, therefore I keep my unglided PMF wand on board for those, it may be more in my head but I just feel there's not enough water recovery, so only use evo on end cuts.
So all that said it's a good wand but not sure it's good enough for the hefty price tag
(I paid 530 with vat)
PS the head is actually closer to 13 inch than 12. Which is good.
Prochem quad looks good but it's only 11 inch head that put me off, must be slow for big areas.

Thanks Craig that's a big help, just been looking at the Bentley Wand that also looks good.

have you tryed joe's site,

Don't forget, HM will loan you an evo for a few weeks demo.
I don't want to put you off to much it is nice wand! But pros and cons.
-
I've been looking at the wands on their Billy but was really looking at feed back from others, which wand are you using? didn't you have Dave's Prochem quad jet off him?

my 'wish list' wand would be a 2-jet 12" wand with a 2" vac pipe. i find 4-jets not hot enough and definitely not enough pressure to rinse properly. i use the hm wand that comes with a tm and while it is good it weights a ton and at the end of a long day arms are knackered!
shaun, if you find a good wand and want to share import duty, let me know,

Mark Shannon has one not sure if he bought it straight from Joe Bristor or from HM.

Bought my Bently from Joe he has changed the jet manifold and pimped it up. I had to buy a greenglide, supplied glide crap.
14" light as a feather, use it every day, width not a problem because its so light.
Not sure if it will last like a Ti or SS, time wlll tell but I don't think so.
Joes high sheer kit works great but dont think it would survive a hard knock.
Men well impressed when they notice its carbon fibre perceive it as very expensive. :)
Paid I think under £500 delivered, a year back, not sure Joe still sells the Bently.

Got the 2" Evo from HD have to agree had problems as above with jets getting blocked, but spoke to Martin at HD and ended up fitting an inline filter...not had a problem since, just clean the filter weekly. Apart from that, i am very pleased with it, with 6 jets it gets through the work.
-
i have the 12" version of the same wand. as mark says it is as light as a feather, you wont find a lighter one BUT i have a problem with a) the 4 jets, i prefer 2 and b) the jets on this wand are very close to the carpet and at a severe angle, they almost skim the top of the fibres instead of going into the fibres.
just my opinion
i got mine from joe as well, i don't know exactly what i paid for it, i think the total was around £600 but that was with 100ft of sol hose.
mark, where did you get the glide for it from?
i also have the evo 16", that is very light and the jets are at a better angle imo, i know someone who has the 12" version and they love it but that only comes in a 1½ vac tube,

Colin do you use your Evo wand for everyday carpet cleaning? I'm wondering which size to get, the 12" head is more manageable but the 16" head is more productive but I mainly do domestic?
Wonder if HM will lend me one?
Shaun
-
Colin Martin supplied glide I bent manifold to give better angle, 14" has 5 jets.
-
thanks, mark,
shaun, use the 16" on larger jobs but rarely use it on domestics,

What height are you guys as that will have a big factor on who a wand suits and dosent.
Im 6'2 and need a longer wand.
Where do you get your greenglides from as Joes arnt the same.
thanks
Mark
