Are the windows in good condition? you wouldnt want to have water spraying around in there! i would need to see it myself but would think between £200 and £300,for 2 of us for most of a day.

It's very hard to price jobs up from pictures.  Is it outside only?  How many 2nd floor windows are there?  How many 1st Floor windows?  How many ground floor windows?  How long do you estimate the job will take you and your mate?

Is it generally easy access?  Are there any special requirements when you can and cannot work?

And 6 to 8 weeks is fairly frequent, so the price should reflect that.

And I reckon there'll be other people who'll have been asked to quote for that job as well, so maybe it wouldn't be a good idea for you to mention whatever price it is that you're going to stick in.

Leaky windows aren't a problem at all if you do inside too.  You clean the outside first, then the inside.

But even if you don't clean the inside of leaky real leaded windows, I still do them, and no-one has complained.

But if it's a regular big job, I wouldn't be toooo expensive; as you know you'll get your time spent on it right down after a few cleans, and it looks like a nice place to work.

£200 for one days work.  Maybe £170 if it's regular and I think they're reliable payers and I didn't have to travel too far.

But it's hard to say; the job looks simple enough with no real access issues.

How long do you think it would take two guys to do it using a van mount?

But at £600 to £700 at every 6 weeks, I'd be surprised if they'd take you on.

I've quoted for a couple of big jobs and both went to the lowest bidder.  St Pierre was done for £1000 per month, and that place is huge, but the guys (OCS) just did the minimum and everyone was happy.

It's a case of checking areas and missing them if they don't need doing.  That mightn't sound right, but it's how it's done.

The biggest job we've had is the Hilton Newport and we cleaned the rooms every three months, we cleaned some areas every-other-month, and we cleaned the public areas every month; even though it was all meant to be done every month.  No-one complained because the price was cheap and they new it.

You're right. Mike says it needs a 60 foot pole, doesn;t look like that in the pics. Also just realised its not one building, its got a perimiter building too.

tbh tosh ime not sure how long it would take 2 men with a van mount ,

i know i could cut corner s and just concentrate on  the busy areas  ;)

but that is  not me , it might be ocs though  ;D

but as i said i am just helping a mate quote for this place ,and just want to try to get

a overview on what some of the member s of this forum might charge.

as i said there are some insides to clean to ,about 10 in total which need a ladder and 2 men  under h+s regs

It really is impossible to quote this one without seeing it up close.

Somewhere between £3.00 and £1000.00  ;D

Taking any internal window cleaning out of the equation-

I would allow for 2 full days because I reckon there's more than 1 day there for 1 man.

I do quite a bit of work similar to that building & I can advise you that it can be a nightmare! The windows have no frames, they are set into the stone mullions & surround. This will require much more than a quick whip round & be prepared to do some windows more than once.

I'd be looking at £400 to £500 I think.

As Tosh said though, it is very hard to price & appreciate many things just from photos. ;)

Also-

They might say 6 to 8 weeks now but I'd be very surprised if they actually stuck to that. ;)

I used to clean this for my old boss and frankly if it will take 2 of you 1 or 2 days i would get out of window cleaning!!!
2 of us used to get there at 7.30 and be gone by 11.30 with a van mount.

Yes the windows do leek but its only a 20min job to run round and mop the windows up.

Also the say every 6-8 weeks but its more like every 12-15 weeks
