Personally prefer them not there as I can whizz around with WFP but get paid quicker if there in. (stating the obvious)

Some I do, some I dont. Quicker without them there thats for sure.

Mostly not, they talk too much!

Although its handy with some interesting custies (and cuppas)

It's best if they're out when you're working, and you're just packing away when they arrive home in time to pay.

Those are my favourite occasions.

i notice customers feel uneasy to stare at me and often move around from room to room and then appear near front door as if by magic just as i knock on the door

The best summer scenario I have had:-

I tool up to a £25 job and get three quarters the way through in fifteen minutes when the custie turns up and pays me then brings an ice cold coke or J20 from the fridge as I am packing away.

In my dreamland scenario she would fit the description by chopsie in the post above and be coming out scantily clad with drinky-poos on a tray to do a spot of sunbathing!  ;D
