Had a cladding and window clean at a local doctors/health center today. They close on a wednesday afternoon for admin so thought it would be safe with no public about.
Cladding was shiplap about 1m deep all round edge of flat roof. I was presoaking with a sprayer filled with tfr/water. My helper was cleaning with a vikan sill brush and tap water from a 400 flat tank in the one van. I went inside to clean all the windows and left him to it. When he ran out of water I told him to use the pure in the 25l containers on the trolley that i had been using for the windows outside.
He only loaded the 25ltr container with neat TFR on the trolley and started at the cladding. Neat TFR on the cladding, frames below the lot. He realised and swapped for pure then the foam party started. There was tfr everywhere. Good job I only pay £25 for 25ltr. I had asked someone to move their new fiat 500 so no water or dirt went on it. Can you imagine what the neat tfr would have done on the bonnet.
I'm laughing about it now but the air was a bit blue earlier.

Neat tfr will not affect car paintwork

This stuff will Luther. I get it from a local hgv yard and dilute it 10:1 max usually. When I use it at 3:1 on my motorbike it will dull the alloy if I leave it longer than say 1-2 mins. It gets the crap off conny roofs and cladding though.

Time methinks for you to label things properly. :)
Had you not thought about loading this TFR container away from the purified water containers and letting your "helper" know?

Hi Helen.
The fact that its a reddish colour in a different container style to the others was a big enough clue. He's also mixed it from the same container in the past for the spray bottle so didn't think it necessary. I think his head was more into who was playing on the wing as he picked the team for his match that night. He first thought that I had put fairy liquid in a container of pure for a joke!!
Some days he's brilliant and others not.
You can mend broke but you can't fix stupid.
I will however change the container for something different and label it now. It's too expensive to waste like that. Although at only £1 a litre I had thought about converting the van to run on it ;D
