Title: Abseiling window cleaning prices

Alright boys and girls,

What would you say is a fair price to abseil this building to clean all exterior windows on a 3 monthly basis?? (I know some of you abseil )

I have already had a price and was quite shocked!! will tell you all later

I would say 1.5 - 2k

3 man team 2 .5 days, lots of drops on that

Reckon steve-uk is the closest. 600-800.

I'd estimate around £3,150.00 + vat.

it's a very big area of glass and without being able to look closer, it's difficult access due to the louvers above the windows.

What anchorage system have your rope access window cleaners suggested using on the roof? was a system put in place for the purpose cleaning windows when it was built?

 what is the distance you will be away from glass due to the louvres, also do the louvres have sharp edges that could damage your rope if so rope protectors will have to be placed on each decent.

The building is already being cleaned by a local firm who can abseil, but they want too change contractors for some reason!!

All the balcony glass will be cleaned by me.

The building owners are fishing for a cheaper deal. a sound access method will have to be drawn up by whoever you use to abseil this building, the louvers look like a right pain because there obstructing easy access to the windows, also damage to the aluminium on this building could be quite easy with a team of heavy handed abseilers and could work out very costly to repair, so make sure your choice of subcontractor carries out the most thorough survey and has some very good insurance and be careful not to under price this job.
