Just picked 4 jobs up from my local council so not all bad

our council seems to hate wfp and get the wcs to use cherry pickers ....
seems daft to me, more costs involved

I think you'll find that most of the time it's just bureaucratic inflexibility. Some idiot reads that the rules say "use X" and they won't vary from them.

Its the same around here. We clean a block of warden patroled flats, each flat paying their own bill. The commumal areas are cleaned by a company from Weston Super Mare (about 90 miles away) Takes them 30 mins and then they go back. Madness.
