Title: SHUR Flo pump anyone
Post by: MAX Carpets on March 30, 2011, 12:32:45 pm
Long shot I know, but as you may of gathered I'm having a bad couple of days. Just cracked the case on my SHURflo diaphragm pump (2088 343 500) Spoke to PROCHEM and they kindly told me this part is no longer available and I will have to change the whole demand system to a Flo jet, cost £500/£600 +VAT???? I was a bit shocked to be honest. Any ideas?

Cheers

Justin

I've got a couple of old shurflo 135psi pumps taken out of ninjas, if that's what you mean?  Can't remember if either of them have any terminal problems, one might just need a new diaphragm/head replacement, I think the other might need a new motor.  God knows where they get that price from though, they only used to cost about £120+vat or something like that ???

I could send you one if it's just the case you need, but how the hell did you crack it?  They are built like nuclear bunkers!

Paid Prochem £20 for a brass female connector last week, god knows why I didn't go somewhere else

Its only a 45psi pump!

I know this isn't much help but the 12v one as used to window cleaners only cost about £100 and they are 100psi

A 135 psi pump in a ninja is a diaphragm pump too, just describes the way the pump pumps water! (as opposed to piston pump for example)

Sorry, I'm getting WAY too pedantic, doesn't matter :)
