I received a mailshot from a supplier a while back. One of the items in their catalogue was an extra long angle adaptor. Unfortunately I put it through the recycler not realising that I would get some work where I needed such an item. I can't remember which company it was from. Nor can I find such an item by internet searching. Does anyone know who supplies these please?

i would like to see some make a add on for the angle adaptor unbolt the adaptor and add the other bit in the middle must be quicker than removing the bruch ect.
i thought of it a few weeks ago but to make the item i would imagine you would have to order a few hundred of them :o :o
if anyone want to mass produce them just send me one free of charge ;)

I have one, it's cheap, fairly heavy but might be ok for occasional use - never used mine yet!

The mailshot was probably "streamline" I think they are a distributor, supplier to retailers.

Thanks for the info everyone. I could really do with it at 6 AM in the morning but I will get by for this week. I will certainly make sure I have the right tools for when I do the job again next week.

Streamline = Varitech. I've got one of theirs, about a 6" extension you can add on for difficult windows. Another dodge is to screw a second angle adaptor onto the end of the first and use it as an extender. Both however make the brush end feel a bit loose and wobbly so you wouldn't want to leave them on all the time.

Thanks Vince. I had considered screwing on extra adaptors but I find that they sometimes give way on the swivel part - even when not under a great deal of pressure.
The reason I want something much longer is that I currently have to brush a glass roof every week. Due to its height and the angle, I find that I am standing on a stepladder holding the pole above head height. I can get away with this as I'm using an SLX. So the weight at the end would actually be supported by the glass that I'm cleaning. I have plenty of room for stepping back and stretching out the pole so that part is not an issue.
The job is a bit of a pig if truth be told as the inside of the glass roof and the higher up glass is cleaned by an Easyshine kit.
Everything is working OK but working from that stepladder outside, without any arm support for balancing, is a bit precarious. The extendable adaptor would make this job safer for me to do and a bit easier as well.

i brought 3 of the six inch ones from sreamline - varitech put them
on my poles perminatly they are great no problems with them and a lot cheaper
than buy goose necks

Just thought I would resurrect this thread to compliment one of the less oft mentioned suppliers. In the end I got the extension pieces and a couple of new adaptors from a company called Tecbuk (he told me that it's an anagram of bucket) ;D .
Anyway, I placed the order by phone and email confirmation on Friday afternoon. I paid the invoice on Friday evening. The goods arrived Monday morning. Good service I reckon. Thanks Tecbuk.
