Im thinking of targeting a different area and will need a local phone number, I know a few on here do this so im looking for suggestions on which company to use.
I know this has been covered a few times but maybe new companies have started or have deals on at the minute.
Tamartelecommunications look ok.

I have had 2. Numbers with tamar costs me about 3 quid per number a month never had a problem with them

I use Voiphone which costs £2.40 a month. I do not want to give out my own home phone number so I use them. I add a message to my number with voiphone and it sends me a wave file to my mobile phone with the message. It will do that effectively to your in-box on your E Mail account but as I have an Iphone it just sends it there. Simple and no expensive line rentals and installation costs.

ttnc is what i use. £30.00 for the cheapest number then you only pay for the call depending on where it's diverted to, so if you've got something like voiphone for another number then ttnc number will be free forever to recieve calls and no ongoing costs, or ~4p per minute to landline, 12p to mobile. it's what we use and i really like the service. easy to change online as well so i get it to go to mobile if no one is going to be in to answer the phone

sounds like a complete load of advertising jumbo. sounds wonderful but what did they actually say in that email when you take the "this is the best thing ever" rubbish out.

03 numbers are free from mobiles as opposed to 0800 numbers, many top companies now use 03, last year for the first time in the UK more calls were made from mobiles than landlines.

Load of balls, show me a mobile contract that doesn't have free inclusive minutes? Most people would prefer to ring a local area code number because it tells them the location of the business they're ringing. You don't have to worry about cost of a call with free minutes on a contract.
03/0800/0845 = call centre in Bangladesh? who knows? I know if I phone a number starting in my own area code I'm ringing someone local. (although we know that's not true ;) )

VoiP is a good option. I use it too!

Ring Central is very good, slightly more expensive than some at £14 pm but excellent facillites etc. Take a look

Vodaphone have a great package available for business users.
You can have a local, geographc number or a number from up to 5 different dialling code areas that come to your mobile.

Gaining work from the next area to yours by having their dialling code in your number would pay for that several times over if you were smart about your marketing.
