Title: Upholsterty foam cleaning
Post by: oliver collins on March 28, 2011, 08:50:13 pm
Hi Guys

I have about 200 hundred chairs to clean man made poly type material and was thinking of using a foam cleaner with a sponge and then rinse off or just vac off what do you think.

And which is the best foam that does not leave a residue that will lead to rapid resoiling.

Any tips would be helpful

I havnt had a chance to properly trial it yet so others may have more experience of using it.

Von schrader( sp) red label is the best I've used, with a bit of calgon if you live in a hard water area. vac off with a wet vac.

I've done loads like this, including full dralon suites

....dawg answered as i was typing......

I have a large-ish upholstery job coming up soon. only about 20 chairs like that but 6 large benches in three waiting areas and i fancy using the dry foam method.

Cheers

I use that craftex foam in my Von shrader, it's good but wear gloves as it's irritable.
