Title: How much do you charge for gutter clean?
Post by: RO-Sheen on March 26, 2011, 09:37:07 am
I'm looking at buying a gutter vac as more and more customers are asking for this service but was wondering how much I can expect to charge? Is it charged per foot?

I'm in Oxfordshire by the way.

Thanks in advance

Adie

I've heard people charging all sorts of crazy per meter price on here but personally and especially if they're already window clean customers then I prefer to think that an average 2 storey semi should be around £20, dependant on there not being other difficulties. Remember I'm in Yorkshire and we're tight up here.

One guy on here says he charges 5 a metre yet has owed me 250 for six months, no dosh, so I guess 5 a metre means no work.

I charge £3 per meter but only for what needs doing. A three bed semi with full gutters down three sides is £60 and not had anyone say no yet. It's dirty, can be dangerous, don't under sell yourself or your services.

we have a minimum charge of £25 - but that would be for a front only

front and back of a semi ranges from 35 to 50 - depending on how bad they are, and we never just do spot removals - it's always a complete clear of the gutter length.

Thanks guys. I was thinking about £1 per foot (£3 per m approx) so I'm in the right ball park.

Currently I charge £1 per foot for cleaning outside of gutters, fascias and soffits so on a house of 20' wide that would be £40 a side for everything cleaned and gutter cleaned.

£20 per side for clearing and £20 per side for cleaning (outside of gutters and soffetts) - more if it a larger property.

25 a side to clean gutters out and same again if cleaning facia and soffit -

can see the day i quote 45-50 to do both each side tho - its not a job i like and think its less hassle cleaning windows so it has to be at a slight premium for me otherwise wouldnt be interested in doing.
