Hi folks
Just have to put in a quote for job tomorrow commercial job, will take I reckon 4 days & mayb few hrs... ??? Is don't want to shot myself in foot as it can or may lead to other work but was thinking of £200 per day £1k for job (allowing for things not running smoothly) is that about right ???

sounds alright to me ;)

£200 per day sounds good. It is a reasonable wage for a days work
Also, you will get faster the more you do it so after a few cleans you will get it done in 3 days (£333 per day)
AND...like you said, it could possibly lead to more work. Just make sure you take your time and do a crackin job as you will be judged on the first clean.

You could may well be undercut on that!

;) thanks guys...just sometimes just before quote i get a rush of blood to head & drop price thinking im to expensive and bring it into a domestic takings of say £140 but with commercial u have to make the extra as the way i look at it you can lose it quicker than domestic due to various reasons..but i suspose you have to quote what your happy in making but with respect for your own work without worring about others..will let you know how it goes ;)

hi james
thats my point whats the average takings a day on commercial ??
a company from experience has a cost + many overheads

Not that experienced myself but a company could put 4 men on that and do it in a day for say around £600

I actually thought £200 was a bit cheap but as Woodsy said, it might lead onto more work and as I said earlier he will get quicker each time. That is the reason I said it sounds good.
Of course you are right James, someone might undercut that price, and some will put in a price alot higher BUT it is important to do give a price you are happy to work for. Whenever I do a quote for Commercial or Domestic I always put in a price that both myself and the customer will be happy with. That way everyone is happy.

Yes your right RO-Sheen,
i was going on past experience! where i was doing a nursing home for i think it was £45 took 2hrs was undercut to £35
The other guy had a helper and they did it in 1hr he paid his helper £5 cash in hand he earned £30 for 1hrs work ,
So not only did he earn more than me but did it in half the time!
And was a £10 cheaper than me!
