What are we looking at?
-
Crucial trading, make carpet that carpet cleaners have had issues with, when using hwe
-
Oh! Just looked at their website, nice prices!!
-
What issues??
-
What issues??
Shrinkage.
-
you cant wet clean them, cost a fortune too

What issues??
Well put it this way. Go to the Crucial website, order 6 sample pieces and when they arrive put a piece onto a card and draw around it. Now wet the sample and put it back onto the card exactly within the lines you've drawn.
Now sit back and watch it shrink before your eyes.
Then think of the damage you could do if that 2 inch square sample was actually 24 foot by 18 foot.............. :o and at £60 sq/m or more you do the maths.
I priced one of these up today, just the dining room, although half the mansion has got this stuff on the floor. Don't really care if I get it or not, although it is glued to the floor which should give some resistance to shrinkage.

Thanks for the tip, just ordered 5 samples,
Thank god I'm insured !

sounds naff... going to order a few samples myself.
Any tell tale sign way of spotting the carpets?

They are quite unique in thier apperance. You'll soon know one when you see it on a clients floor. They are usualy found in up market homes as they are expensive.
They dont all shrink, I left a sample in a bucket of hot water over night and no size change. Cleaned the rest of the ladies mansion without issues. That piece was worth £110 a sq/m. I worked out at the time that she must of spent £35,000 on her carpets! Lucky cow person.

Its a good idea to get a sample book from your local carpet shop and just have a look at what some of its like...
Its always good to stay in touch too with your local carpet shop as they can recomend you and we them to clients..

To be honest gents, they might not be delivering what you think.....

I once saw the Mother in law bent over the toilet being sick and she had no clothes on now that was a horrible sight !!
As my old Dad used to say "you could see if her top hat was on straight"

Well, that is really horrible... :o
These carpets should be banned! They cause too many problems for the price the have.

So why are their carpets prone to shrinkage? Are they a Axminster type construction or what?
