Title: WFP Set Up

Hi everyone wondered if any of you can help me, i wish to set up waterfed pole going from traditional, i want to get a van so would like to know sizes that are appropriate, like would i need as big as a scudo or could i go for a kangoo escort or astra van? also what equipment would i need to buy? a list would be excellent and could i get all the wfp equipment for a 1000? thanks guys always apreciative of your advice

all depends on your work and whether you have a helper etc etc.


as a sole trader window cleaner with a mainly domestic round i find my kangoo is adequate.although i will get a scudo/expert/dispatch in a few years because of the 3 seats,side doors and more room for poles,barrels etc.


i dont use more than 300L A DAY.usually its around 225L-250L.most work is wfp with a bit of trad here and there.

if you plan on employing or have a lot of big commercial a 650L tank is probably a must in a vivaro/ford transit type van.although i think the scudo/dispatch/expert go up to 1200kg payload on some models so it would be fine to put a 650 in it.(i think slumpy has a 800L in his!).

Yes thats a good set up for that price all you need to know now is what pole you need....  ;)

Check the water first, hard/soft?. If soft you will not need any RO system and this will save you money initially, and a lot of hastle. If hard, that pure freedom kit looks good value.

I have a full round 95% domestic and have a 500 litre tank in the back of my Movano but ive never used more than 350 in a day, but i like to have more just in case!!

Pure freedom seem to have a good reputation, im using my p/f trolley pumping from my tank with no problems.

That's good value i think.
But you will need to fix the tank in the back of your van. That will cost another £150 or so to buy the fixings and getting it out in at a garage.
Yes you could go for a smaller van but it will need a payload of at least 600kg i guess to have all this, yourself and fuel in the van.

 I WOULD PERSONALLY SOURCE ALL THE BITS SEPERATE THEN YOUR NOT STUCK WITH BITS OF KIT YOU DIDNT REALLY WANT I.E. A CRAP POLE. HERES AN APPROXIMATE COSTING
