It's true I am; at least to one of our customers.
She phoned me the other day to inform me that her little lad had knocked over a cold cup of coffee in her bedroom; all over a nice white wool carpet. Could I sort it?????
Not too confident I can tell you but we applied the stain remover, left it for 20 minutes, did the same again after some dabbing with a terri towel, rinced and hey presto, not a mark was left.
She's even had a go before hand with water and Fairy.
Even if I'm not she thinks I'm a carpet cleaning genious which is obviously good for my reputation; and I have to agree with her. ;D ;D ;D

What stain remover did you use?
-
Cold coffee = no problem, boiling hot coffee = insurance claim ;)
A good demonstration of the importance of temperature!
-
Let's play a game of trumps ;D
Yesterday I got half a tin of bright green emulsion paint out of a beige wool carpet, with the paint having been there since Saturday.
Must admit even I exceeded my expectations on seeing it.
Chemspec POG was the master remover along with 90 minutes of my time.

I did a coffee stain a toddler had knocked over it vanished right in front of me after applying prochem coffee stain remover absolutley amazed then after questioning the customer it transpired thet it was stone cold, must make a big difference.

Well thanks a bundle; I thought, just for a moment, that I was a flippin carpet cleaning wizard there mate; the customer still does so maybe that's the important thing!!!!
Educational on here isn't it; didn't realise cold coffee comes off easy; even from a pure white carpet.
Thanks for that info!!

Did you get a testimonial? ;)
-
The trouble with them thinking you're a god is the next stain they think you will get out :P

Here's what my customers think of me - it was an aniline leather job -
Dave,
just wanted to thank you for the renovation of the two sofas which were destined for the tip!!! They are very happy in their new lounge and are feeling a new lease of life!!! I will certainly recommend you whenever I get the opportunity. A very professional service !
Kind regards
Wendy

Surely the sofa's can post on their own behalve if they are able to state they are happy in their new lounge.

It turns out the customer; or as I like to call her now ex - customer, didn't approve of the price I charged her, even after telling me how delighted she was that every speck of coffee stain was removed from her carpet.
Now personally I don't think my price was excessive - £30 for an hour of my time, including the cost of the stain remover ??? ??? ???
First she said that she didn't have £30 on her, gave me £20 and asked me to collect the other tenner on the Friday, just like our window cleaning customers. Then when I get there on Friday she tells me the carpet still has marks on it. Of course it did, not coffee but just other dirt that wasn't cleaned due to her asking for just the stain to be done ::) ::) ::)
Then she tells me that as she only paid £50 for the carpet I was charging her too much.
We've cleaned her flat twice before with no problem so why she decided this time that we charged her too much I've no idea ???
Anyway, I told her to keep her £10 as she obviously needed it more than I did and next time her kid spills stuff all over her nice clean carpets not to ring me as I wont be doing it >:(
Some people eh; they want a good job doing but want it for bloody free :-\
-
Well there's friggin gratitude for you :(
I know this sounds a bit snooty, but that's exactly the kind of customer you get charging £30. Many cleaners' minimum charge is at least double that, which quite frankly helps to filter out the sh*t customers.
Don't dwell on it

Jims right they expect so much for so little.

He had one quote for 17 pounds to clean it too :D
-
Yip I'm dong it tomorrow ;D
-
Blimey; I thought we'd get it with our £15 quote ;D
-
That 17 pound will make up your first million dave ;D
Mls il undercut you ;D
