Title: NCCA Survey Forms
Post by: james roffey on March 23, 2011, 11:32:30 am
Since starting i have been using the NCCA survey forms, i purchased a load of them but recently run out, so i went onto the NCCA website and ordered some more, when they arrived i noticed that the quality of the paper was poor  i have no way of measuring it suffice to say it is almost transparent maybe half the thickness oF the ones i was supplied with first time round, i emailed the NCCA to complain that the poor quality reflects upon my business and the NCCA as it is the only tangible thing that the public has of both,The NCCA and my business and that i had no intention of using these  to "promote" my business.
They replied that i was the first to contact them with this issue ! and that the thickness and "quality" of them is down to the printers  ???
i was also told that it was not a cost issue, as i had suggested in my email to them, although i was charged the same amount as when i placed my first order i would have thought that someone at the NCCA should have noticed this clear difference in quality i have sent them an example of the old forms for comparision just to make sure it was not me i showed my wife the two forms and she commented "its like tracing paper"  In the big scheme of things i know its not that important but i think my business and how it is perceived is rather important.

I think any presentation is important and would never consider using "cheap looking paper"
If the printers have changed the thickness of the paper the NCCA should have been told and agreed this and yes thinner paper would be cheaper. (or it was from my days of working in a print business). Maybe the NCCA have not checked and noticed the difference as presumably it is wrapped when it arrives to them.
It sounds like the printers have down graded in order to be able not to raise costs ???

James

Sent you an email with templates that I use and can add your details and change accordingly if this is any use.  Very similar to NCCA ones so I am told.

they also put up the cost of membership  "in line with inflation" other people / organisations are freezing or reducing costs pay rises are almost non existant but the ncca is putting up its cost of membership. they must be short of money lol.

No problems Jim.

Sorry can't send out any more at the moment as my laptop on which they are stored now has a broken charge (using wifes computer at the moment) and the battery has gone flat. Ordered a new charger but it will be a few days before i receive it.

Stick em on an iPad and email a copy to the customer.

That way you get their email address for future spamming.

Would anybody be so kind as to send me a copy?

I've got a few templates but could do with checking that I've got everything covered.

Out of interest I enquired of a printer the price for 2 part self carbonated forms, here is the quote I received:

A4 2 Part NCR sets (either padded in 50’s or glued into loose sets of 2, whichever you prefer).

X100 £44.20 +VAT
X200 £59.40 +VAT
X300 £70.60 +VAT
X400 £93.00 +VAT
If you would like the forms numbered please add £16 +VAT to the above prices.

Next person to request this form is obviously thick and cannot run a business with out the need for help from others.

Lock this topic.

Nice to have the real Matt Lindus back, some of your previous posts were far too sensible.
